Purple Prose: Connect for Mental Health
As part of our 2Spirits and QC Mental Health Week event, join us for a special poetry showcase and journaling experience. Our event brings together our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Sistergirl and Brotherboy (LGBTIQ+SB) communities to share and celebrate stories of resilience and recovery through creative expression. Whether you're a seasoned poet or love the written word, there’s a space for you.
Date: Saturday the 12th of October, 2024
Time: 11am - 3pm
Location: New Farm Neighbourhood Centre
Enjoy poetry displays, journal decorating, and a BBQ in a welcoming atmosphere for connection and creativity. For people wishing to submit their own poetry, see the guidelines below.

Guidelines for submissions:
Please submit all poems in 1 document
Please submit maximum of five poems and a maximum of 10 pages
One submission per person. If you would like to make another submission, please email me.
If you’re submitting images or videos with your poetry, please articulate how you would like it presented in a display.
Please include content warnings for sensitive topics or language such as mentions of suicide and/or slurs
Please be mindful that there will only be one lap top available for displaying videos
Please identify if you wish for your submission to be anonymous
Otherwise, include a bio about yourself and any collaborators – please keep them under 100 words.
