Vilification Law Reform Survey
The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health and our partner organisations are working together to listen and gather your stories, lived experience and voices, and we would like to invite our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities to share those stories with us. We can help you get this information to us in many different ways, safely, confidentially. Please feel free to let us know about your experience or experiences with the survey below. This survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

With Vilification Law Reform, we are looking at two different parts happening with the Queensland Government at the moment.
Law reform
The inquiry into serious vilification and hate crimes was announced in April 2021, and is being undertaken by the Queensland Parliament’s Legal Affairs and Safety Committee.
The Committee will inquire (find out) about:
the type and amount of hate crime and serious vilification in Queensland;
if hate crime and vilification in Queensland is increasing;
the effectiveness of Queensland laws in dealing with hate crime and vilification.
