Brisbane north
care finder program

For senior members of the LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy community

It is not always easy to find and access aged care services. Locating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, lntersex, Queer, Sistergirl and Brotherboy friendly and culturally safe services can be challenging too.

The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health's care finder program provides a free, independent and confidential service to senior LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy folks, their families and carers, living in the Brisbane north region.

Our LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl  and Brotherboy care finder program, based  in Brisbane north, can work with you to navigate:

The types of services and support  available - in-home or residential

  • The My Aged Care portal

  • How to access aged care services

  • Your rights and responsibilities

  • How to compare services,

  • facilities and prices

  • Other options if you are on a waiting list, And more.

We also work with local agencies to assist in the provision of culturally safe, LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy inclusive services.
