Why should I become a volunteer?

Becoming a volunteer with QC is more than just an opportunity to give back; it's a chance to be part of our support that values and uplifts each of our LGBTIQ+SB communities. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit more regularly, your time and effort make a significant impact.
How do I become a volunteer?

Some specific programs for volunteering include:
Gayawur Rainbow: Volunteers help create inclusive, affirming spaces and assist
with community programs to foster well-being, connection, and visibility for
LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl & Brotherboy communities across Queensland.

The LGBTI Seniors Visiting Service: The LGBTI Seniors Visiting Service volunteer
role pairs trained volunteers with older LGBTI individuals across Queensland to
provide regular friendship, conversation, and social connection to help reduce
isolation.

Wrapped N Ready condom Packers: Volunteers assemble and package safe sex
kits for distribution across Queensland.

Outreach Volunteers: Sexual health outreach volunteers engage directly with
community members at venues and events across Queensland to promote health
awareness, distribute safe sex resources, and provide peer-based sexual health
information.
