Each tile was created with soft tones, gentle gradients, and flowing hearts that connect across the images, symbolising how our communities share love, strength, and solidarity.

The words, Care, Connection, Nourish, Solidarity, Advocacy, Wisdom, Check-In, Community, Hope, represent the many ways care shows up in our lives.

They remind us that care is not only clinical; it’s cultural, emotional, and relational, built through the everyday acts that sustain our wellbeing.

The hearts crossing between tiles show how our stories are linked, how care continues through us, and because of us.

Gender Affirming Care. Care Continues

Over recent months, there’s been renewed attention on gender affirming care in Queensland. In this moment, it matters more than ever that we stand together, with care, with connection, and with clarity about what gender affirming care truly means.

Care Continues is a shared effort by the Queensland Council for LGBTI Health (QC) and 2Spirits Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation, celebrating gender affirming care for people and services who make this care possible every day, grounded in respect, belonging and solidarity.

This series honours the quiet, steady work keeping our communities safe, supported, and seen.

Together with partners, community leaders and allies, we’re helping build systems that are transparent, responsive, and inclusive for everyone who seeks care.

Gender-affirming care is connection, it is trust, it is belonging, and it continues because of all of us and our continuing care.
